Echo’s Story
Echo stayed in our hospital for a few days recently and she wanted to share her story. Echo’s mom, Jessica, adopted her from an aunt in Nevada who had rescued her from a shelter. Echo had clearly been abused and cowered each time she heard a noise.
In Memory of Avett
“Avett was born on January 25th, 2013. By the end of March, he was in our loving arms. I’ll never forget the first night we had him how curious he was watching me deep clean the kennel we had bought for him. He was by far the most curious animal.”
Luna Survives a Mountain Lion Attack
On the night of March 24th, 2021, Caitlin & Larry heard their dog Luna barking outside. This did not sound like Luna’s normal warning bark, so Larry ran out to see what was happening. He turned to see Luna bravely chasing a mountain lion around their chicken coop!
In Memory of Taz
Taz was a lovable little Chug who lived life to its fullest. He loved going on walks and eating any type of treat or food.
Amber
Amber is a retired service dog that worked with Jack from 2nd grade through his junior year. She retired and handed Jack off to Teriyaki, so they could bond during Jack’s senior year.
In Memory of Thea
This month we want to remember Thea who passed away suddenly from dilated cardiomyopathy, most likely caused by a grain free diet. Thea, who would’ve turned 4 years old last week, was a ball of energy and excitement who was obsessed with playing fetch, snuggling her brother, Max, and dressing up for holiday photo shoots.
Mickey
Dr. Lake-Bakaar feeding Mickey who was hospitalized for pancreatitis.
Maxwell
Little Maxwell was getting tired more quickly than his siblings and was found to have a loud heart murmur during his 3-week checkup, so he came into our cardiologist to see if his heart was functioning properly.
Frank
Frank was such a sweetie and gave snuggles to the entire team!!
Moshi
Moshi’s parents were worried about her because she had been having soft stool for the past week and just developed bloody diarrhea, so they brought her into our ER. We took a parvo test right away to make sure she didn’t have a serious virus, which was luckily negative.
