She completed a rotating internship at VCA Alameda East and an Internal Medicine internship at MedVet in New Orleans, followed by a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Iowa State. Between one-on-one consultations, performing endoscopies, and caring for hospitalized patients, Dr. Portanova aims to provide exceptional treatment to each pet she meets. She is particularly interested in gastroenterology and immune-mediated disorders.
