Clara

Clara came into our ER tonight for evaluation following trauma from a door falling on her hind end. Her owner brought her in immediately and during the time she was at our hospital, she progressively improved weight-bearing on her hind legs.

Chance

Dr. Lake-Bakaar and the team at EVS is conducting a clinical study on diuretics and Chance is our first participant! He came into our hospital yesterday for increased coughing and respiratory effort. Our ER Doctor found that his mild heart murmur had worsened, and he was diagnosed with mitral regurgitation a condition that affects heart valve and congestive heart failure (fluid buildup in the lungs).

Thor

We are so excited to see Thor doing better after being hospitalized for kidney failure. He’s improving every day and is at home with his loved ones again.

Zeus M.

Zeus came into our ER hospital for stabilization and overnight monitoring after he had a seizure. He was very talkative, active, and excited during his stay at our hospital. Right before he went home, he found his blankie and crashed after a long night.

Nash

Nash, a Catahoula leopard dog, came into our ER this weekend because he ate some vinyl siding.

Haus

We love it when recheck visits go well! Haus is improving wonderfully and had a great visit with our cardiologist today ending in lots of treats and slobbery kisses.

Boyd

Boyd had a decreased appetite, was vomiting, and had abdominal pain, so his owner brought him into Golden Paws Animal Hospital last night. Golden Paws took an X-ray and found a possible bowel obstruction, so they referred Boyd to us for surgery. Our surgeon looked at the X-rays and decided a foreign body surgery would be necessary to remove the obstruction. During the surgery, Dr. Moorer found a small towel in Boyd’s small intestine that he had ingested. The surgery went well and now he’s being monitored while he’s recovering.

Louis

Louis came in this weekend because he had an upset stomach (vomiting and diarrhea) and his grandpa wanted to make sure he was okay. After an examination, the owner decided to take home medication to help calm down his tummy and see if he felt better on his own.

Ellie

Our wonderful CVT, Misha, came in with her dog, Ellie, to get a mass removed from Ellie’s leg last week. Ellie came in last night to get her bandage replaced due to some pain, but is otherwise healing well!

Rambo

Rambo came in yesterday for severe coughing and difficulty breathing, which is a common sign of congestive heart failure. After spending some time in the oxygen cage with Mr. Zebra and a change in medications, he was on his way home.
