EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

JOB SUMMARY

We are searching for a stellar Pharmacy & Inventory Technician to add to our already amazing team! An ideal candidate has experience in prescription and controlled substance distribution, phenomenal attention to detail, and nearly perfect task execution. They must also be self-motivated and excited to help the team in outside roles where and when necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Fill and distribute in-hospital scripts
  • Assist receptionist team with front desk duties including but not limited to answering phones, checking in/out patients and collecting payments.
  • Follow up with clients/assist with accurate in-hospital filling and refilling prescriptions
  • Calling clients for medication refill pickups when ready
  • Identify product purchase needs and place orders to maintain adequate on-site inventory
  • Conduct inventory counts to ensure accuracy
  • Conduct precise mathematical calculations to ensure accurate dosages
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting products and vendors
  • Receive inventory upon arrival and maintain associated documentation
  • Maintain and evaluate inventory records on a quarterly basis
  • Help develop product dating and rotation procedures to reduce loss
  • Create an efficient space utilization plan for supply storage
  • Notify supervisor of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
  • Facilitate hospital equipment purchase and repair

SCHEDULING: A regular, Full time employee of Evolution Veterinary Specialists, Inc, will be expected to work an average/minimum 36 hours/week. Hours typically vary and include holidays, weekends, swing shifts, overnights, and on-call as necessary to fill the needs of the hospital. A typical starting schedule (subject to change) would be 4 x 10 hour shifts weekly.
