Salary: $16/hour – $20.75/hour

Job Summary

We are looking for employees to help assist our team with the hygiene of our veterinary hospital. The right candidate is self-motivated, enjoys cleaning and organizing, enjoys working around pets, and enjoys physical activity.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Clean, stock and supply all facility areas including restrooms, kennels, exam rooms, offices, etc. (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, disinfecting all surfaces, wet tables, etc)
• Doing laundry, including the wash of heavily soiled materials
• Cleaning up after real medical emergencies that will include bodily fluids like blood, urine, pus, feces, etc.
• Cleaning and preparing surgical instruments for sterilization
• Perform and document routine inspection
• Perform simple maintenance activities and document needs for more complicated maintenance
• Notify management of inventory changes or needs for repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms, hospital inventory, food
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Candidate must not have an aversion to any bodily fluids; we work with urine, feces, blood, pus, and any and all other bodily fluids.*

• At least 1 year of previous cleaning/janitorial experience
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery, ie. washer/dryer
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Ability to work independently
• Self-motivated to find and complete tasks during slow time
