Dr. Sarah Stroope

DVM, Residency Trained In Critical Care

Dr. Sarah Stroope earned her DVM from Iowa State University, followed by a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She is passionate about caring for critically ill patients and supporting their families through difficult moments. She enjoys the breadth and complexity of critical care, with particular interests in coagulation, respiratory emergencies, shock, and trauma.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Stroope is excited to now call Colorado home with her partner and their crew of pets. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys gardening, kayaking, vintage shopping, and tackling an ever-growing list of house projects.

Dr. Stroope is a former collegiate soccer goalkeeper, which may explain both her love of high-pressure situations and her collection of old injuries.
