Dr. Erik Kleeman

DVM, Residency trained in Surgery

Dr. Erik Kleeman is joining the EVS team as a Residency Trained Small Animal Surgeon. Dr. Kleeman graduated from the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine with an additional degree in Masters of Public Health. He subsequently continued his training with a small animal medicine rotating internship at Tufts University, followed by a surgical internship at BluePearl Specialty Animal Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Kleeman then entered into a local general practice at VCA Deer Creek Animal Hospital in Denver, Colorado, where he worked for two years as a general practice and emergency veterinarian. Dr. Kleeman continued to pursue his passion for surgery and took a position as a surgical associate veterinarian at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Following this, he completed small animal surgical residency at Bridger Veterinary Specialists, in Bozeman, Montana. During residency, he acquired advanced experience in a variety of procedures including: soft tissue/trauma, oncologic, TPLOs, fracture repair, neurosurgery, and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Kleeman is additionally a published author and continues his research in orthopedic procedures.

Dr. Kleeman is from Long Island, New York and in his spare time, he enjoys running, skiing, hiking, travel, breweries and, above all, spending time with his family: his wife, daughter, and three (crazy) dogs. Dr. Kleeman and his family are excited to return to the Denver area!
